How Do I Become One of Your Clients?

I believe the best work comes from genuine connections. Every Collective, DJ, and Venue has its own unique energy, and my goal is to capture that essence in every photo and video I create. Can I Share Your Photos or Videos?

Absolutely, I encourage sharing of my work as long as proper credit is given.

How should I give credit?

  • On Instagram, please tag @darren_thifault in the post and include 📸 @darren_thifault in the caption.

  • On other social media platforms, please include 📸 ThifaultMedia.com in the caption.

Can I crop out or edit the Thifault Media logo?

  • No — if a Thifault Media logo or watermark is present, it must remain fully visible. Cropping, altering, or removing it is not permitted without prior written consent.

Can I use your work on my website, flyers, or other media?

Are There Any Events You Won’t Cover?

I typically don’t cover Afters. My focus as a photographer is on capturing the emotion, energy, and beauty that music creates in the moment. From my experience, those authentic, transformative moments usually don’t happen at Afters.

Whats Your Background in Photography?

I’m self-taught — but I’ve had some amazing guidance along the way. My mentor, Jeff Straw, has been instrumental in shaping my craft and helping me grow into the artist I am today. Bless his patience for answering every question I’ve thrown his way.

My deeper background, though, is in Science. I began my career as an X-ray Crystallographer, studying the properties of light and how it interacts with matter to reveal the structure of proteins. I spent countless hours at particle accelerators around the world learning how to manipulate light — and in many ways, a camera is just a smaller, more creative version of that same science.

How Many Photographers Work for Thifault Media?

Thifault Media is a one-artist operation — I personally handle every project to ensure my creative vision and quality standards are consistent from start to finish.

For larger events, I collaborate with a few trusted photographers who share a similar style and professionalism. If your event doesn’t fit within my schedule or area of focus, I’m always happy to connect you with one of them — they’re incredible at what they do.
